Julience is clearly a talented writer and performer and he's cooked up a particularly catchy rocker of a track that I find myself still humming, always a great sign! Strongest Point(s): Any great rock track needs a powerful lead vocal performance at its forefront, and Julienece undoubtedly delivers on this. Not only do the vocals possess the necessary character needed to really reel the listener in, but the sheer level of control on display is superb. Julience really nails that classic rock sense of rock attitude and his vocal range is incredibly diverse, the striking power behind those higher notes alone is a joy to listen to. As well as being a strong vocalist, it's clear Julience is also a keen guitar aficionado and this most certainly shows, whether it'd be speed infused melodic flourishes or wildly expressive string bends, this is some seriously tasty guitar playing and it really helps inject the track with that extra bit of flair. There are a number of well placed key changes throughout that really help inject the arrangement with a welcome feeling of both unexpectedness and excitement, and whilst modulations can sometimes be tricky to pull off effectively and successfully, they are handled very well indeed in "The Flood", helping to further ensure that this is a listening experience that continues to intrigue throughout. Target Audience Appeal: This is definitely a track for the Christian rock fans out there and I'm sure they will not be disappointed. Dinarés is obviously well versed in the world of jazz and "Cumpliendo Condena" is a wonderful display of his devoted passion for the genre and its endless possibilities. This is a brilliant piece of songwriting and the track's many nuances have been lovingly captured in an excellent recording that acts as a perfect showcase for Dinarés and his abilities as both a writer and performer. Strongest Point(s): The lead vocal performance is excellent, Dinarés gives it his all and has a vocal quality that is so easy to engage with as a listener, he makes it seem effortless and as a result, we get a performance that feels both organic and stylistically fitting. The lyrics are equally strong and have a very definite human quality to them that audiences will find very easy to connect with, and when paired with Dinarés's highly expressive vocal style, it's a match made in heaven. Accolades must also be given to every performer that accompanies Dinarés, every musician involved is really on top form and the musicality on display is exquisite, from the terrific walking bass lines that underlay the track to the dazzling virtuosic harmonica lines that are interspersed throughout, there is a level of sophistication in both the performances and the music they are expressing that is continually alluring. Target Audience Appeal: This is definitely a tune for the jazz lovers out there. T.Day delivers an immensely enjoyable and riff-tastic slice of hard-hitting rock that is bursting with superb performances, solid songwriting, and enough groove to fill a stadium twice over. A great balance between classic and a more contemporary hard-rock style has been established in "Angel", ensuring that lovers of both classic and modern hard rock will find plenty to love about the track, myself included! Strongest Point(s): The lead vocal performance is outstanding, not only does it capture the spirit of the genre perfectly but it injects the track with both a sense of immediacy and unbridled energy that adds to the overall bombastic nature of the track brilliantly. The vocals are backed by an incredibly strong backing band that handles the track's many riffs and rhythmic variations brilliantly, resulting in a detailed and ever-intriguing overall performance that's filled with excellent musicianship. The descending chromatic movement in the harmony just before the chorus kicks in works extremely well and for a brief moment adds an almost Gothic quality to the track, heightening the impact of the chorus tenfold. Another particularly strong element of "Angel" is its fantastic arrangement. It's evident that a lot of thought has gone into how the track smoothly flows between its various sections, paying particular attention to how parts are layered and interact with one another, for example, the decision to have one guitar play the main riff on the left side of the stereo field and another play more ambient open chords on the right creates a great amount of textural contrast, and when you then go on to gradually layer further parts on top, the result is an arrangement that feels as if it's always evolving in some way or another, culminating in a piece of songwriting that is both nuanced and highly detailed. This is a break-up song that will make you want to dance and celebrate the glory of heartache. This single is a love letter to the broken-hearted that find consolation on the dance floor. Strongest Point(s): Such great drumming. The best part of this song is that the uplifting melody contradicts the sad lyrics - happy sad music - like Robyn's Dancing On My Own. I really enjoyed the dramatic opening synth and the disco beat that kicks in halfway. You've achieved all of your artist targets through influences, yet creating your own distinct style. This track is a synth pop gem! Yes, I can hear the heavy influence of sounds between 2001-2011, as well as the 80s. But the melody, arrangement and dreamy synth with echoing, has a timeless quality, but it's a current sound as well, with nostalgia and the 00s having a comeback. Target Audience Appeal: This song has a universal appeal with it's blend of genres, disco type beat, emotional core in melody and lyrics, and it's the type of song that can easily fit any situation or mood.
