Jon River has done a splendid job of crafting an engaging and highly-listenable tune that is both well-balanced and full of the artist's unique charisma, managing to effortlessly flex his evidently strong songwriting skills with great confidence and conviction.
Strongest Point(s): Jon possesses a versatile and commanding vocal presence that fits this style of song perfectly, not only displaying great power and feel but an exceedingly high level of dynamic and tonal precision. The build-up at 2:33 works incredibly well and helps create a fantastic amount of contrast when compared to the softer sections that precede it. This rockier and more intense interlude gives the song contour and helps inject the arrangement with that extra spark at just the right time, a testament to how much thought has clearly gone into the way in which the song effortlessly flows between its various sections. Along with the accomplished performances and inspired songwriting, the exquisite production they are wrapped in is superb and mixed to an exceptionally high standard, this is a track that can easily stand proud on any radio station.
