Michel Percy - I Hope You Know What You Do
Pop, Rock, Blues
Laval, Canada

Overall Impression: Having grown up on classic blues-rock, I will always welcome a rip-rollicking track such as "I Hope You Know What You Do", it takes me back to those exciting days when you'd discover a band you'd never listened to before and would find yourself subsequently diving headfirst into their back catalogs to see what other gems you could find. There is an energy to this style of blues-based rock that is both terrifically infectious and wonderfully alluring and I think Michel Percy has managed to capture the essence of the genre very well indeed. The riffs are gloriously chunky, the lead work is soaring, and the performances are tremendously spirited, what more could one want from a rocking blues track!

Strongest Point(s): Blues is a wildly diverse style that boasts many contrasting iterations, this particular track clearly leans towards the slightly harder, more boogie orientated areas of the genre and Michel has done a brilliant job of capturing the more raw and unbridled energy that is required of this particular blues style. The guitars have that excellent overdriven crunch to them, giving the track the rhythmic weight it needs whilst the lead guitar has that certain "wailing and wild" characteristic that injects the track with a great touch of attitude, and when these elements are combined with the songs brilliantly flamboyant and powerful lead vocal performance, the results are particularity thrilling.

Target Audience Appeal: Lovers of hard blues rock will certainly enjoy the undeniable classic sound of "I Hope You Know What You Do".

Artist target suggestions: Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, Status Quo, Muddy Waters, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Walter Trout, Molly Hatchet, Allman Brothers Band, The Outlaws, Foghat, B.B. King, Ted Nugent, George Thorogood, Grand Funk Railroad
