SONG REVIEW 🎵📝 The Fine Chairs - (He's a) Liar

radioairplay.com independent new music

The Fine Chairs - (He's a) Liar
Rock, Rock Pop, Indie Pop
Hamburg, Germany

Overall Impression: Boasting both the against-the-grain mentality of alternative rock styles as well the energy-rousing spirit of classic rock, The Fine Chairs deliver a gloriously riff-heavy piece of songwriting that effectively combines its strong lyrical themes with a hearty dose of unapologetic attitude. "(He's a) Liar" treats listeners to a cavalcade of memorable hooks and groove-drenched rhythms that are made even more ear-catching by the spirited performances that power them.

Strongest Point(s): As with any fist-pumping anthemic rock track, it's in the performances where the magic happens, and whilst the writing certainly needs to be of a high standard in order for said performances to come across in as engaging a way as possible, it is the performances that determine whether a songs many distinct creative ideas come across effectively, and I'm glad to say that The Fine Chairs most certainly deliver. Not only do the animated performances bring an energy to the table that injects each and every vocal line, well-executed riff, drum flourish, and lead break with the necessary sense of vigor needed to get them jumping out at the listener, but there's a clear feeling of synergy between each and every performer that heightens the effectiveness of both the writing and potent lyrical message tremendously. Whether it'd be the charismatic lead vocal performance that leads the charge, the brilliant dashes of inspired, FX-laden lead guitar work, or the strong rhythmic backbone provided by the bass and drums, "(He's a) Liar" is a solid listening experience that manages to carefully balance its meaningful message with a generous helping of catchy rock-fueled fun.

Target Audience Appeal: I can certainly see this greatly appealing to both alternative and classic rock lovers.

Artist target suggestions: Toad the Wet Sprocket, R.E.M., The Psychedelic Furs, Greta Van Fleet, Dirty Honey, Gary Clark Jr, Wolfmother, Gin Blossoms, Spin Doctors, Soul Asylum

SONG REVIEW 🎵📝 The Fine Chairs - Fadin' Away

radioairplay.com independent new music

The Fine Chairs - Fadin' Away
Rock, Rock Pop, Indie Pop
Hamburg, Germany

Overall Impression: The Fine Chairs have released their new rock tune Fadin' Away. Grooving gently with guitars and drums, Fadin' Away features a laid back rock sound tinted with psychedelics. While the groove stays on the subdued side, the jangly instrumental colors and bright vocals cut straight through and imbed themselves in listeners' ears. The solidity of the music and singing gives way for listeners to bask in the waves of sound. Overall, the tune has a stretchy quality that pulls and elongates time. This is especially prevalent in the chorus, which manages to be incredibly catchy while pulling listeners through an intricate colorful weave. With the release of Fadin' Away, The Fine Chairs provide listeners a chance to dissipate and melt away with the music for an incredibly enjoyable experience.

Strongest Point(s): There are many fine points with Fadin' Away and after sifting through each one of them, I still can't get the chorus out of my head.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Pop, Psychedelic, and British Rock will dig Fadin' Away by The Fine Chairs.

Artist target suggestions: R.E.M., The Beatles, The Vines, Tom Petty, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, The Monkees, The Kinks, George Harrison, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Lloyd Cole
