Cinamon - Damn! (I Miss Him) R&B Maryland, United States Overall Impression: Damn! is a gorgeous pop ballad, with creative lyrics that are relatable to many listeners. Cinamon has an exceptional voice, both as a singer and a songwriter. The vocal quality is mellow and whispery, but not fragile and makes for easy listening. The rhythmic juxtaposition of the lyrics from the verses to chorus is brilliant: using quicker, less predictable rhythmic patterns in the verse, and majority straight eighths in the chorus, and the bridge does just that - bridging the verse and chorus both in rhythm and melody. The vocal harmonies fit with the vibe of the song well, playing a conversation between the lead and backup vocals. Really great song, well done. Strongest Point(s): Overall, this is a strong song from start to finish. The subject of the lyrics is one that has been sang many times, but Cinamon keeps it fresh, telling this story in her own words. The vocals are really great to listen to as they are soft yet confident and the backing vocals are really well balanced to the main line. The mix is well balanced as well and the music is fitting to the song - the acoustic guitar is a nice touch. Damn! has a natural flow, even ending with what feels like a natural thought process, doubling the last lingering thought. Target Audience Appeal: Damn would appeal to fans of Pop, R&B, Today's Hits, Top 40, and you might even pull some fans of female country stars. This song has really great potential to make name for itself and you, but more exposure would help - saturate social media with your music, along with advertising it for use in industries that return royalties, such as film, indie films, tv, streaming services, radio, even ads themselves. Artist target suggestions: Cinamon has a very unique voice that could go far, and it is important to remember that although influences are important, Cinamon's voice is the most important for her musical future. XXL Lavateam - Listen R&B, Hip hop, Trapsoul Ohio, United States Overall Impression: Right off the bat, the introduction is deep and powerful, drawing the listener in, and with "Why Won't You Listen?" it almost challenges the listener to finish the song, even though the vocalist is speaking to the subject of the song. The lyrics are constant and intense, further driving the meaning of the song, and provides a message that many people can relate to and need to hear. I especially enjoyed the breakdown, as it felt like I was being talked to individually, which is a very effective moment in the tune. The mix is also terrific and keeps the energy and direction of the line up throughout the entire song. Strongest Point(s): The song conveys a personal feeling and is super authentic, being delivered from a point of pain and misunderstanding, and with immense soul. The lyrics themselves are really tight, and the rhythmic interplay with the lyrics and mix is exquisite - generally doubling+ the rhythmic intervals in the beat. The balance feels really great in the ears, with no voice overpowering another or understated. Lastly, the quality of the voice is terrific, even including some different vocal styles from straight talk, to falsetto singing, to grunge strain and screaming, really impressive job. Target Audience Appeal: You set yourself up for a cross genre hit; fans of hip hop, rap, trap, rock, alt rock, pop, trap, today's hits, even grunge listeners will enjoy this song. This song would accompany a video really well. Along with this I would recommend advertising this song in use over all sorts of streaming media, from radio to films, tv, streaming services like Hulu and Netflix, even games and ads Artist target suggestions: XXL Lavateam has a strong, unique voice that could make a crater of an impact in the musical world, and although influences and role models are important, your voice is most important to your musical future. Mista K - Doing My Thing Hip Hop/Rap Texas, United States Overall Impression: Mista K got the lyricist flow of Twista with an Atlanta flair. Doing My Thing is a trap set that keeps you hyped up in the club hopping. It gives you fun and cheeky rapping akin to Busta. A rocking euphoric song generates energy as you listen. Kyler bringing youthful and danceable that eeks out his own spot in the rap Strongest Point(s): The smooth transitions of your music from the beginning (0;00-026). Rhythmical flow, meter variations of each phrase, and nuances of how each phrase is spoken have a natural flow throughout the song (from the verse stanza to the next and then the hook). Target Audience Appeal: Mista K grabs the listeners' attention with the comical feel from the beginning. You can hear this in a lot of places like the club or riding down street (club car). It is a hype song that would vibe well with anything that represents Doing [Your Own] Thing...marching to your own drum (individualism).
