Wild Wisteria - Blue Skies in Paradise (Instrumental Guitar)
Guitar, Instrumental
Australia

Overall Impression: Drenched in melody and saturated with feeling, Wild Wisteria's beautifully realized instrumental "Blue Skies In Paradise" takes listeners on a blissfully soothing listening experience that masterfully combines thought-filled melodies, warm enveloping textures, and a staggering degree of emotion that you simply can't help but become invested in, resulting in a captivating piece of instrumental writing that both inspires and enthralls. Even though I am no stranger to the always tantalizing works of Wild Wisteria, I still find myself pleasantly surprised by the way in which they are able to effectively and confidently explore a number of creative avenues and genres from track to track and whether it'd be folk, rock, blues, or in the case of "Blue Skies In Paradise", a sweeping majesty filled instrumental, they always manage to cook up something particularly special.

It goes without saying that the performances are superb, but of course, this is to be expected in a Wild Wisteria tune. There's a chemistry between each and every performer that really allows the distinct nuances of the writing to blossom and feel wholly organic, ensuring the smooth-flowing nature of the music draws in listeners with ease. Instrumental tracks are in no way an easy style of songwriting to approach and it takes a certain delicacy in this approach to ensure the music feels both cohesive and thematically tied together and thankfully the way in which many of the compelling melodies are handled throughout the track is exceptional. Melodic development has been handled beautifully throughout "Blue Skies In Paradise" and this allows the music to feel both well-defined and deeply interconnected. The deft blending of genres is also worth mentioning and the way hints of Latin jazz, blues, and classical elements have been weaved together makes for a particularly intriguing soundscape. This is further elevated by the diverse instrumentation and the warm textures that each individual instrument brings to the table. Whether it'd be the lush tonal properties of the sweeping strings, expressive lead guitar phrasing, groove-rich percussive elements, or animated bass hooks, there's plenty for listeners to strongly connect with.

Target Audience Appeal: "Blue Skies in Paradise" is a thoroughly engaging Latin-infused guitar instrumental and I'm sure lovers of instrumental guitar-based music will find it to be a worthwhile listening experience.

Artist target suggestions: Santana, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, Robben Ford, John McLaughlin, Tommy Emmanuel, David Gilmour, Steve Howe, Ed Hamilton, Gary Moore
