Hyp - Indiza
Hip Hop/Rap, Lo-Fi, Chill-Hop
California, United States

Overall Impression: Both thoroughly absorbing and steeped in a captivating sense of atmosphere, Hyp's ambient Chill-Hop track "Indiza" is a deftly produced piece of songwriting that combines continuously evolving textures, beautifully crafted melodies, and a strong creative vision that's been intricately entwined throughout. We often talk about "vibe" as a means to express the effect a piece of music can have on a listener as well as what mood befalls them while listening, and whilst "Indiza" clearly aims to evoke a feeling of relaxation with its chilled form of musical expression, there's a definite feeling of reflection underpinning the music that as a listener you can really feel. It's a track that makes you think, whether that'd be reflecting on one's past choices or contemplating future ones, "Indiza" has a certain maturity about it that you can't help but be taken in by.

Strongest Point(s): I really do love the subtle oriental feel that the music adopts, not only does the clever use of stringed instruments allow for some interesting timbral and melodic ground to be explored but the combination of these eastern flavors with the tracks synth and Lo-Fi style elements helps create a feeling of uniqueness with regard to the character of the track that audiences will certainly find enticing. The implementation of reverbs and delays is excellent and really helps give "Indiza" its expansive textural qualities, it's very easy to overuse elements such as these but the delicate way in which they've been incorporated into the mix really helps give "Indiza" its grand feeling of ambiance.

Target Audience Appeal: I can certainly see "Indiza" appealing to the lovers of atmospheric Lo-Fi/Chill-Hop styles and I'm sure the track will resonate with this particular audience greatly.

Artist target suggestions: Kupla, Shierro, Purrple Cat, Kalaido, Living Room, Linearwave, nekoi, Finding Hope, colours in the dark, Jordy Chandra, No Spirit, Raimu, Sleepy Fish
