VaporLoQ - Tripsychord
Rock, Instrumental, Electronic
Calgary, Canada
Overall Impression: VaporLoQ has released the new Electronica track Tripsychord. Grabbing the listener's attention, Tripsychord starts off strong with an immediate "In your face" attitude. The moderate beat grooves with the style, attack, and sound of an old school Hip Hop drummer. As the melodies begin blossoming upward, time seems to stretch over the tune's foundation. The spaciousness of these melodies adds significant body to the overall sound. While the attitude of the tune is not one to be messed with, Tripsychord avoids overwhelming the listener and instead passes through textures and moods in a controlled manner. These are engaging moments of sonic personality best described as mysterious, witty, and a little trippy. Overall, Tripsychord by VaporLoQ is a killer new Electronica track that finds a balance between the raw and the controlled.
Strongest Point(s): Some Electronica tunes drench the listener in waves of sound and overwhelming pulses. Tripsychord seems to take a more thoughtful approach. There is an aggressiveness to the beat, but at no point does it tear anything down or spin out of control. The melodic and harmonic ideas all work well off of each other and have something unique to offer. All of these things combine for a very cool track.
Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Electronica and EDM will dig Tripsychord by VaporLoQ
