George Lindsay - Just Get Lost
Alternative/Alt. Rock, Contemporary Folk, Singer Songwriter
Glasgow, United Kingdom

Overall Impression: George Lindsay serves up some tough love with his new Country tune Just Get Lost. At the end of its rope, Just Get Lost looks in the eyes of those who have hurt us, and kindly raises a middle finger. This Country tune has no room for backstabbers, cheats, or bad folk. In contrast to the roughness of the lyrics, the vocals have a brighter, gentle quality. George Lindsay sings with a tone that is suited for Country and would work just as well in Folk. His timbre and general demeanor welcomes the listener in. While this contrast is clear, the tune still works and reminds listeners that anger can be expressed in many different ways. Overall, Just Get Lost by George Lindsay is a fine new Country tune that serves as a lesson to treat people well, or you might not be welcomed back.

Strongest Point(s): The country groove in Just Get Lost is spot on. The pedal steel lays back into the beat and keeps the intrigue high while the rhythm section holds down a solid pattern. Groove is often overlooked, as the vocals and lyrics tend to steal the spotlight, but it is absolutely essential for a solid Country tune. Just Get Lost has it nailed.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Country are sure to enjoy Just Get Lost by George Lindsay.

Artist target suggestions: Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Zap & The Wires, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw, Waylon Jennings, Keith Urban, Johnny Cash, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Lonestar, Randy Travis
