The Guitar & Whiskey Club - Does Your Dog Bite
Rock, Hard Rock, Southern Rocks
California, United States

Overall Impression: Chock full of meaty riffs, chest-pounding rhythms, and gloriously animated performances, "Does Your Dog Bite?" is a fantastically rip-roaring slice of hard rock badassery that has both the necessary attitude and tongue-in-cheek sense of humor to really nail the unapologetic nature of the genre down to a tee. The Guitar & Whiskey Club display great energy and prove that rock'n'roll is most certainly not dead, this is one of those crowd-rousing rock anthems that is sure to get an audience hyped, it has the energy, the personality, and songwriting to prove it.

Strongest Point(s): Any bombastic hard rocker needs an equally spirited lead vocal performance to match the songwriting intensity, and it's safe to say "Does Your Dog Bite" certainly has this. The vocal performance captures the raw energy of the style perfectly, not only showing great range and character, but also great command over the lyrics, injecting them with the necessary spark to really get them jumping out at the listener, and I particularly like the syncopated idea that is adopted when the backing vocals enter towards the end of each line, this really gives a great sense of rhythm to the delivery. A strong vocal performance is backed by an equally lively and exciting musical backing that combines marvelously catchy overdriven riffs drenched in an abundance of style and brilliantly pounding drums and bass that propel the track forward with both the utmost ferocity and vigor.

Target Audience Appeal: This is certainly one for the hard rock aficionados out there.

Artist target suggestions: Mötley Crüe, Ratt, Van Halen, Warrant, Sammy Hagar, Aerosmith, L.A. Guns, David Lee Roth, Quiet Riot, Great White, Def Leppard, Poison, Slaughter, Guns N' Roses, Sixx:A.M. Buckcherry, Velvet Revolver
