House In Back - Can't Get There From Here
Country, Country Rock, Alt Country
California, United States
Overall Impression: House In Back offers up an authentic-sounding love letter to the classic days of country/Americana rock with their undeniably charming "Can't Get There From Here", not only have they done a sterling job of capturing that undeniably classic mid-western sound brilliantly, but they do so with a clear passion for the genre, making for a particularly laid back listening experience.
Strongest Point(s): The way in which the guitar is effectively used to fill in the gaps in-between the lyrics is an excellent way to keep the arrangement feeling dynamic, this interspersing of these short yet highly melodic guitar interludes works extremely well and creates an excellent question and answer theme between both the guitar and lead vocalist. The lyrics are well-written and effectively conveyed and the overall performances are strong, culminating in a track that is well-written and stylistically fitting.
Target Audience Appeal: Lovers of Americana will certainly appreciate what "Can't Get There From Here" has to offer.
Artist target suggestions: Alan Jackson, George Strait, Jackson Browne, Johnny Cash, Alabama, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Guy Clark, Little Feat, Justin Townes Earle, Brooks & Dunn, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
