Connecticut, United States
Overall Impression: Country folk elegance and a quiet musical presence create a calming atmosphere that includes singer/songwriter Cinnamon Spice's laid-back vocals, which have a great melodious tone to it that is reminiscent of singers Carole King, Joan Baez, and Gina Scipione. With passion and descriptive and emotional lyric storytelling, describes the stages of love and loss and all the trials and tribulations one makes, when trying to make a relationship work. This is a song for those who love independent music and singer/songwriter tunes, lovers of country and folk.
Strongest Point(s): The melody and instrumental performance match the tone and emotion of the lyrics nicely. The song is a lovely blend of classical and folk, the melody is soft and sweet and begins with finger-picked guitar chords, followed by a combination of beautiful strings, violin, and guitar. The instruments combine together so beautifully off of each other, with all their various accents and nuances throughout the song. It's a beautifully composed ballad and love song. Her voice has great rise and fall and has a bright, pleasant, modulated sound to it, that is soft and sincere and filled with emotion. In contrast, her male counterpart, in the song has a deeper, fuller, baritone voice. The song evokes a relaxed coffeehouse vibe to it and has a boho feel.
