Overall Impression: There are some pieces of music that are specifically designed to fill one with a sense of euphoric joy and unbridled bliss, others are with a deep sense of sadness and melancholy, but there are a select few that go beyond just simply wanting to evoke a generic emotive response from its listeners, pieces of music that work on a far more existential plain with the aim to make its listeners think about the bigger picture, "Just Another Pain" is one such song, and what an experience it is. W3 IMMATERIAL has crafted a vividly detailed sonic soundscape that's replete with sweeping pads, fascinating vocalizations, and a sense of atmosphere that transports its listeners on a cosmic-infused journey of self-reflection.

Strongest Point(s): The way the voice is used throughout is certainly a strong element of the track and the various ways it contributes to the richness of the overall texture of the piece is excellent. There is a definite uniqueness to the vocals that work very well in this context, adding considerably to the abstract nature of the song, and the understated nature they possess has a hypnotic quality that you can't help but be taken by. The use of effects is brilliant, the way in which reverse delays and reverbs have been used, especially on the guitar parts, really help give the track its grand sense of space and openness and when combined with the subtle use of percussion and expansive synth pads, the result is terrifically absorbing and shrouds the listener in a blanket of interweaving tones and textures.

Target Audience Appeal: Lovers of more experimental and alternative music genres will find "Just Another Pain" to be a highly engrossing listening experience.

Artist target suggestions: Pink Floyd, Dominique Guiot, Claude Larson, Vangelis, Carpenter Brut, Virtual Mage, M83, Brian Eno, Stars Of The Lid, Chihei Hatakeyama, Eluvium
