Ponchy - 100 Mile Wilderness
Dance/Electronica, Synthwave, Electronic
Utah, United States
Overall Impression: "100 Mile Wilderness" is the atmospheric new release from composer/producer Ponchy. Sparse, downtempo trap drums provide the backbeat for rich, textured analog synths on this track that also features warm electric bass, which provides an ample harmonic foundation for the ambient, meditative melodic content contained within. Fans of chill electronica definitely need to check out Ponchy's "100 Mile Wilderness", it's the perfect soundtrack for that post-rave comedown.
Strongest Point(s): Outstanding production, fantastic mix. Excellent clarity to the drums and percussion, they really cut through. Bass sounds great, and its a very nice line, providing both harmonic and rhythmic structure. Lead voices sit well in the mix. Nice push and pull to the arrangement, gives both tension and release. Overall, a solid, well produced track that does a good job of establishing mood and atmosphere. Exemplary job on this one!
