BanzaiWag - Irish Whiskey
Alternative, Alt. Rock, Rock, Songwriter
California, United States

Overall Impression: "Much like the drink, Irish Whiskey by BanzaiWag warms from the inside and instills a sense of calm for a few minutes. The slower tempo and rolling melodies put listeners in a relaxed, almost trancelike, state. Acoustic guitar and gentle percussion make up the rock-steady foundation for the vocals. Sung with an approachable tone, the lyrics provide snapshots of Ireland, its people, and its folklore. Although mere glimpses, these snapshots give just enough information to paint a vivid picture. As the tune nears its end, listeners may find themselves reaching for another glass as they hit the repeat button. With the release of Irish Whiskey, BanzaiWag shows an ability to bring their unique sound to other styles of songwriting.

Strongest Point(s): The lyrics stick out the most, as they provide several distinct pictures. When laid out next to each other, each of these pictures tells a colorful, melancholic story.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Irish Folk, Singer Songwriters, and Indie music will enjoy their time with Irish Whiskey by BanzaiWag

Artist target suggestions: Arctic Monkeys, Sufjan Stevens, Editors, Mumford & Sons, Steely Dan, Peter Paul & Mary, Simon & Garfunkle, Art Garfunkle, Paul Simon, John Prine
