Arlis Martinez - Come My Way
Pop, Hip Hop
New Jersey, United States
Overall Impression: Arlis Martinez is an independent musician who wants to take his music to new heights. Making good music, Martinez wants to take listeners on a trip through his imagination and create an experience all their own. Martinez’s latest single “Come My Way”, blends the sounds of pop and R&B to create one sultry single.
Strongest Point(s): The combination of Martinez's vocals and instrumental performance is what gives this song its bones. The song begins with staccato guitar chords, the sounds have a sexy Latin feel with the softness and smoothness and the flavor of R&B. The vocals are smooth and sexy, and together with his runs and raps the song is tight. With the exception of some acoustic guitar as a musical accompaniment, the bulk of the song is created with a drum machine, effects, and a synthesizer. The vocals are very much looped and repeated to create the intended tone and sound of the song. But, the song has a great sexy, seductive quality to it and is one you just want to listen to on a night in, relaxing.
Target Audience Appeal: For fans of Contemporary R&B, R&B, and pop music.
