Dinarés - Hechizado
Pop, Pop Rock, Jazz
Madrid, Spain
Overall Impression: Hechizado is a newly released jazz tune by Spanish musician Dinarés. A samba, Hechizado opens with nylon strung guitars, piano, bass, and percussion keeping a strong latin groove. The guitars have a nice, full sound and keep things interesting by adding arpeggiation and lead lines during the comping. The soloist perfectly complements the vocals, in addition to playing a fantastic solo. Dinarés sings with a cool passion, and a bright tone. His strong stage presence is made known through his voice alone. Sung entirely in Spanish, the lyrics are a haunting love song. Losing his soul and sense of identity, the main character has been bewitched by love, his soul following in the steps of the one he admires. Overall, Hechizado by Dinarés is a fantastic latin jazz tune that is sure to get people on the dance floor.
Strongest Point(s): The rhythm section does fantastic job of keeping an awesome latin groove. The sound is instantly recognizable, and the soloist does a great job, too.
Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Latin Jazz will love Hechizado by Dinarés
Artist target suggestions: Antonio Carlos Jobim, Henri Mancini, George Benson, Pat Metheny, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Bill Evans, Guinga, Marco Tamayo
