Phankl - Ester Park
Rock, Blues, Adult Contemporary
Washington, United States

Overall Impression: The song Ester Park by Singer Phil Klahn (stage name Phankl) is an adult contemporary take on rock and blues accompanied by a folk melody starting with elements of triangle and bass. Upon first hearing the song it begins with a folk and blues melody but towards the middle of the song explodes into a rock song that emphasizes the keyboards and synthesizer for a 60’s and 70's rock vibe. Ester Park's overall sound is reminiscent of the Brit/pop genre with likenesses to The Beatles and Beach Boys. With a great mix of drums and guitars, it's hard not to bob your head along to the beat. Overall, Phankl has created quite an upbeat feel-good rock song that is radio friendly and sure to captivate any listener.

Strongest Point(s): The melody is great as it starts out slow and builds while the song progresses. The variety in tonality elements really stands out here. Ester Park takes the best of folk, rock, and blues genres and colors them throughout the song with ease. The blending of these genres/tones really makes Phil Klahn's work have it's own unique flavor.

Target Audience Appeal: This song will certainly appeal to listeners who appreciate Brit pop, progressive music, and rock of the 60's and 70's.

Artist target suggestions: The Proclaimers, Neil Diamond, Beach Boys, The Monkees, Abba, Coldplay Yanni, Phil Collins, Billy Joel
