Ellie Rogers - Eagles
Christian/Gospel, Indie, Singer-Songwriter
South Carolina, United States
Overall Impression: Ellie Rogers has written a beautiful song; Eagles is authentic and fresh, with a lovely melody throughout. The artist does a brilliant job in expressing her passion and love for Jesus! The instrumentation throughout the song is captivating, with a beautiful chord progression in the piano and guitar, and then the great bass and percussion lines coming in at 0:45. Ellie Rogers' voice is stunning, especially in this voice range! This song flows nicely from beginning to end, and overall is well executed.
Strongest Point(s): Ellie Rogers' voice is just beautiful! The melodic vocal line is so smooth and transitions between verses and the refrain seamlessly. Along with a beautiful melodic vocal line, the harmonies throughout are tremendous! The beginning of the song is a great intro, starting with humming and then opening up to singing an, "ah," vowel to give the audience a taste for what they are about to hear when verse one starts. The balance between each track is great, as I can hear everything clearly and nothing is overpowering. I really enjoyed that the ending was a sustained note with the fingers sliding up on the guitar; that gives the song a bit more character. Overall, this is a beautiful song!
Target Audience Appeal: This song would be really great in a contemporary religious service setting or at a worship conference. Many worship conferences have music playing throughout, so I would try to get into contact with music directors/managers of worship conferences if you are able! Get your music on as many platforms and streaming services as you can in order to expand your audience. Anyone who enjoys soft rock, rock, Christian/Gospel, etc. would enjoy this song.
