Twin Charade - Inaboyasa
Rock, Hard Rock, Alternative, EDM
Canada
The circus has arrived. Joshua Pivato & Alex Kachkan make-up the dynamic alt-rock duo called Twin Charade. Their music stands for the art of autonomy. It's a call to become an overcomer. It's often satire, it's always theater, it's wrapped in the fiery spirit of Rock n Roll... and they want you to dance to it.
Are they conjuring something, putting a spell on me, or is this Parseltongue? The funkiness only increases throughout the recording. Headphones a must for maximum tripping. I get this Larry LaLonde from Tales from the Punchbowl vibe throughout the solo. Hope the Radio Airplay artist community enjoys!
Can you describe your sound in one ramble-on sentence?
A sound it seems that seeks to find a way to leave the world behind, to tread the valleys of sounds galore, and walk through every musical door, and on each one Twin Charade a'knocks, to never be pinned inside a box, to rock to roll, to dance and scream, to bring to light the waking dream.
What's your earliest music-related memory growing up?
The sounds of Mozart from within the womb. Or something like that...
Do you write/compose your own songs? Briefly describe your songwriting process.
We write & compose all of our music from a place of unhindered free-flow, through channeled imagination and pure unfiltered passion. Then we hit the record button too - that always helps.
Does anything in particular inspire you to write? What get's your creative juices flowing?
We thrive off of one another's ideas the most. A brand new guitar riff, a provoking vocal line...
What do you like more: Performing live or recording in the studio?
Performing Live.
Any embarrassing on stage moments you'd like to share? C’mon, don’t be shy!
On one of our first gigs, at the crescendo of our "intro", our equipment malfunctioned and we stoof on stage repairing it for a good 45 minutes while the crowd watched. Then we re-did the intro all over...
What has been a highlight for you in the past year? (Either personally or for your music career.)
This year has been the year we release what has been a long labor & labor of love. That's highlight enough for us and we truly can't wait for what comes next.
If you were to cover another band/artist's song/record, which would you pick and why?
Hmm. Maybe Katy Perry. Her music can be quite cinematic.
What are some artists/bands that you're into at the moment? Or any particular song you find yourself listening to over and over?
We're always finding new fantastic artists. There's no shortage out there. Lately we've been listening to some Billy Talent, Periphery, Delta Rae, Billie Eilish.
What do you enjoy doing outside of music? Does your hobby rejuvenate your creativity?
Alex practices mixed martial arts, enjoys a variety of teas, and enjoys fashion. Josh is a film/tv actor, enjoys a lot of coffee, and enjoys yelling.
What's one thing people should know about you?
We are here to perform with all of our hearts and we are here to find you, our tribespeople and to share with you all of the energy we have & together celebrate the magic of music.
If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Inaboyasa, baby.
