The holidays represent a lot of things: Time with family, a break from work or school, delicious food…. some more delicious food, and of course gift giving! But maybe not so obvious, is that the holidays also represent opportunities for musicians as the season means more free time to discover and purchase new music. So as the holidays start to kick in, we’re giving Radio Airplay artists an early gift and promotional opportunity with the release of a brand new feature: Holiday Song Targeting!
We’ve released holiday specific targeting, allowing you to promote your songs of goodwill, faith, peace, or holiday fun directly in the most popular Jango.com holiday stations! You must have play credits on your songs to take advantage of this special feature.
Our Holiday Genre Targeting feature allows you to choose from 15 different holiday genres and a total of 27 holiday stations. The stations in parenthesis are the Jango.com holiday stations that your song will be played in. Keep in mind that you can only choose one holiday genre per song. But you can also add up to 30 artists along with your holiday genre in order to increase your holiday promotions! We encourage you to add artists, and will list the top artists in each genre at the end of this blog to help guide you in your artist target choices. Let’s get promoting!
In order to access your Holiday Targeting menu you must go to your Song-Level Targeting page which can be found under the Campaign Settings menu.
To the right of your song title, click the Holiday Targeting checkbox to open and view the 15 holiday genre stations. Make one selection of the Holiday Genre you want to target and it will automatically save.
You then need to ensure that Song-Level Targeting is enabled. Click the 
button to the left of your song title to access the On/Off switch for this feature. In order to enable song-level targeting, you must turn ON targeting for the individual song and make artist target selections for each song. Songs with no artist targets and/or song targeting turned OFF will be played according to your Standard Campaign Targeting.

Click the Turn On button and you’ll enable the feature.
From this same menu we encourage you to also choose specific artist targets to increase your plays per day. Again, we will list the top artists in each genre at the end of this blog to help guide you in your artist target choices.
Repeat this process for as many songs as you wish to promote. Remember, that your songs will only be promoted in these stations if you have play credits applied to them. Once you have this all setup your songs will begin to be promoted to listeners in our holiday genre stations as well as in our most popular holiday artists. Changes can take up to an hour to go live.
