Jango Band of The Month - Neoclubber

Neoclubber Album Cover
We're fresh off the Winter Music Conference in Miami and the limelight is on electronic music. Leading the growing dance/electronic scene on Jango Airplay is a group from a small town in Russia. Their music is sweeping across Europe and the US and their latest Katy Perry cover/remix has more than 2 million views on YouTube. In March they're Jango Band of The Month, we give you - Neoclubber.

Describe Neoclubber's sound in one sentence?
Getting under listeners' skin. At least we would like it to be something like this.

When was Neoclubber formed and where?
We seem to exist for always. Haha. As an idea of course. But to be exact the idea was realized in 2008 near the Black Sea in a small Russian city called Anapa.

Name three people who have influenced your music, and tell us why? Living or dead.
Marina: Alannah Myles was my virtual teacher of vocal. I began with hard rock style and practiced such kind of vocal. Together with her music I listened to Bonnie Tyler, Bonnie Raitt, «Heart» and the like.
Robert Miles was my secret love. My colleagues and friends who played and listened to Deep Purple, Bad Company, David Coverdale, Foreigner, Van Halen and the like would have never understood me blissing out of Robert Miles, Ace of Base, Enigma, Pet Shop Boys and so on. But all this music opened up world of trance and pop music for me and became the reason of today's activity all around this genres. I should also name Shania Twain as she is a singer who's always inspiring. When I am in a bad mood I turn her songs on and sing with her. Her music is a great blend of pop and country and I like its modern sounding.

How do you connect with fans and get them involved in your music?
Jango, Facebook, MySpace, Reverbnation, our official site, YouTube and other web-resources are places we gather our fans. Special thanks to Jango as it gives us a unique possibility to be heard and to extend our auditory.

What do you like the most about Jango Airplay?
Jango lets listeners get acquainted with indie music and even rating it, giving or not giving it way out. Jango provides any band with the necessary statistics to help them to estimate the value of their stuff. From a listener point of view Jango is a super radio station with a lot of good music.

Is there any recent project you'd like to share with us? Tell us about it.
We are full of energy and we are ready to move mountains! At this moment we work over several tracks which will be included in our third album.

Here is the video for Neoclubber's latest Katy Perry cover.

Are you guys playing live and do you have any shows coming up soon?
Yes, we always play live and our shows are absolutely adapted to live sounding. We are planning some big shows in the nearest future in Europe and we will do the best to notify all our fans about it through our webs.
