Overall Impression: Minnesota-based Saylor-Borg blend high-energy space funk with irreverent songwriting, on their release of "Wrong Again Ron." This track features boisterous drums and an elastic bass line that provides the foundation for swirling psychedelic guitars and compelling gang vocals. Sharp and sardonic lyrics satirize a well-known political figure, highlighted by an incredibly catchy title hook alongside engaging vocal shouts and ad-libs. Alternative rock fans will appreciate the raw, visceral sound and flippantly defiant tone of Sylor-Borg's "Wrong Again Ron."

Strongest Point(s): Solid production, decent mix. Great chaotic atmosphere, mostly thanks to the panned twin leads. Drums sound big and scary. Great phased-out bass tone and some nice funk-style playing. Surprisingly nice dynamics, great little diminuendo around 3:30 that draws the listener back in. Love the gang-style group vocals here, giving it a crowd chant quality adding to the "rough and rowdy" character. Lyrics are witty and dry, and cut right to the chase; it took me a couple listens to figure out exactly which "Ron" you meant, but I got it eventually. All in all, this is an incredibly spirited track with a strong and clear political message, along with a terrific funk-rock sound. Very nice work, by all involved!
