Overall Impression: Mike Blotzer serves up hard-hitting political metalcore, on his release of "F.A.F.O." Belligerent vocals deliver a declaration of defiance with visceral growls and snarling howls alongside sharp commentary on the state of society, drawing an uncompromising line in the sand. Strongest Point(s): Excellent production and an outstanding mix. Nice use of stereo space, particularly in the intro. Crunchy, chunky riffs, great rhythmic content supported by the drummer. Awesome metalcore solo and breakdown. Drums cut through the mix nicely, great fills and double kick technique. Terrific variation and presentation in the vocal delivery along with creative production, shows good range and should go a long way with listener engagement. Aggressively defiant yet non-specific lyrical content, should absolutely resonate with metal audiences. All in all, this is a powerful alt-metal track that should have appeal among metalcore and even nu-metal scenes. Fantastic work!
