A new Alternative Rock tune by Eddie DeRocher, Moon Shines immediately grabs the listener's attention but does so with a gentle grasp. It kicks off with an expansive and soaring guitar riff that seems to open up a massive sonic landscape. This mood, while captivating, is maintained throughout but is never too much. DeRocher sings of the guiding characteristics of the moon, and presents the listener with a source of unending hope. Mystical and positive, his lyrics make for a very enjoyable listen. Strongest Point(s): There are plenty of strong points with Moon Shines, but one of the most prominent and effective is the meter and overall feel. By using a 6/8 time signature, the tune just sways back and forth while always pushing forward. This allows the listener to instantly groove along and be immersed in the sound. The song has also been produced quite well and shows no signs of shortcuts or oversight. Nice work by all involved.
