SONG REVIEW 🎵📝 IT BAND - MUSIC
IT BAND - MUSIC
Rock
CA, US
Overall Impression: California rockers the IT BAND pay homage to the very concepts of melody and rhythm, with their aptly titled release of "MUSIC." Clocking in at nearly seven minutes, this epic downtempo track features a lush neo-psychedelic sound that's fueled by richly layered male vocal harmonies, thick billowy synths and minor-keyed guitar arpeggiations, while the drums lay down a purposefully languid 12/8 groove. Brilliant lead guitar work and trippy flutes head up the instrumental solo sections, adding additional flavor. Intrepid rock fans, particularly progressive and post-rock enthusiasts, will revel in the surreal sounds and retro vibes of the IT BAND's "MUSIC".
Strongest Point(s): Excellent production, outstanding mix. Great tonal balance and use of stereo space. Fantastic vibe, really captures that mid 70's rock sound. Nice synth organ. Love the flute, very cool processing on it. Guitar leads sound phenomenal, gorgeous tone. The drums are mixed nice and dry, perfect for this style. Vocals sound terrific, clear and present with excellent width. Great stacking there as well. Lyrical content is on point, I really liked the "Life would be a crime.. " hook. Love the little "Doppler effect" tag at the end. All in all, this is a tremendous track that is both well conceived and well executed. Should have no problem finding an audience eager to take the journey. Stellar work by everyone involved!
