Brilliant choice of cover material, with a ton of influences to draw from. Nice feedback intro, sets the tone for a real rock'n'roll number. Fantastic Southern rock style and sound with a heavy emphasis on guitars, as well as a tremendous boogie-woogie groove between the bass and drums. Awesome vocal performance and production; terrific phrasing and a captivating delivery, backing vox add wonderful depth, nice full sound all around. Your vocal style does well to capture the gravity and weight of the song, again a great choice for a cover. Overall, this is a fun and fresh take on a classic spiritual that most people are familiar with in one form or another, wrapped up in a delightfully authentic Southern rock/blues-rock package. Tremendous track all around, and a job by everyone involved!
