I, Captain - Gone
Rock, Alternative
New York, U.S.

Overall Impression: New York-based rockers I, Captain have released the new song Gone. A heavy-hitting piece of Alternative Rock, Gone has a sound that fans of the denim-clad 90's scene are sure to enjoy. It kicks off with a simmering bass line before exploding into the chorus. The instant those first chords hit, a shockwave rips through the listener and makes them want to throw up the horns and rock out. This track has a surplus of killer attitude and features call-and-response style vocals, as well as some earth-shattering guitar solos. It wears its rough edges proudly, often making the rawness of the recording seem like an artistic feature. Overall, Gone by I, Captain has the sound and attitude needed to kick down the door and make a strong opening statement.

Strongest Point(s): The chorus is great in this tune. It is heavy, catchy, and just short enough that it stays in your memory. There are many killer moments in the guitar work, and the bass line seems to drip with a mysterious quality. All of these things combined manage to pull the tune out of its rough mix and still kick some ass.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Alternative Rock will dig Gone by I, Captain.

Artist target suggestions: Cage The Elephant, Green Day, The Ramones, AC/DC, Beck, Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters, Sound Garden, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave
