The Silvers - The Final Word
Pop, Rock
United States

Overall Impression: Prolific veteran indie rockers The Silvers explore resolute themes of persistence and representation, on their release of "The Final Word". Coarse and jagged riffs play overtop a melodic bass line and a stalwart backbeat on this mid-tempo track, colored by tight backing harmonies and topped off by compelling lead guitar work in support of meticulously layered male vocals. Steely lyrics encourage listeners to speak up for themselves and defend their interests, no matter how desperate the situation and circumstances may seem at the time, ideals that are reflected in the unyielding nature of the music and should resonate strongly with rock audiences. Its supremely cool and confident sound combined with a message of civil responsibility alongside hints of rebellion make "The Final Word" by The Silvers an easy recommendation for indie and alternative music fans of all ages and backgrounds.

Strongest Point(s): Outstanding production, great sounding mix. Nice thick and saturated sound, plays well at high volumes. Great intro riff, sets the tone for the entire song. Fantastic song structure; nice harmonic relationship between verse and chorus, and the bridge provides an interesting melodic diversion. Guitar solo sounds awesome, nice tone and technique. Incredible vocal performance and production. The top line is front and center, with excellent command and clarity, while the backing harmonies add a ton of character and color. Lyrics are superb; empowering on both an individual and a social level, encouraging listeners to exercise their rights and voice their concerns in the face of oppression and fascism. These concepts are more important than ever right now, and these lyrics should resonate with the tone and spirit of our times. All in all, this is a solid indie rock track that carries with it an incredibly strong and vital message that needs to be spread en masse. Awesome work on this one!
