Overall Impression: British alt-rockers The Whiskey Knights drop their first release in nearly four years, with their hard-hitting single "Time." The quartet serve up hearty, straight ahead rock on this mid-tempo track, with chugging rhythms and searing leads playing overtop of powerful, in-your-face drums. Layered male vocals deliver woefully anguished lyrics that express lament for the inescapable passage of time, set to compelling and captivating melodies. Alternative rock fans will love the colossal guitars, massive drumming and bleak themes of The Whiskey Knights "Time." Look for it July 19th, on all major music platforms.
Strongest Point(s): Excellent production, outstanding mix. Sounds great at higher volumes. Nice staging in the intro. Fantastic guitar tones. Drums have a rich and crunchy texture, terrific drum mix. Great bass tone as well. Solid, forceful rock rhythms, nice pocket. Interesting structure and arrangement, should help with audiences engagement. Vocals sound awesome, great performance and production. The blended layers sound amazing. Lyrics are somewhat bleak and dreary, but hopefully will be relatable as a universal theme. They should resonate well with alternative rock audiences. All in all this is a tremendous track, well-executed with polished production. Stellar work, from top to bottom!
