Able Giant - Galaxy Pillow
Prog Rock, Instrumental
Massachusetts, U.S.

Overall Impression: Instrumental Rock band Able Giant has released their newest tune Galaxy Pillow. Groovy and full of color, Galaxy Pillow creates a chilled out, edgy, and exploratory sonic world. The bass and drums hold down an intriguing groove that manages to keep everything together while staying confidently in the background. This allows the guitars to take center stage, spinning through riff after riff and leaving no stone unturned. There are moments of Psychedelia, Prog, and pure Rock bliss that flow seamlessly into one another. Familiar melodies are passed around and used as landmarks to bring the listener back home after a wild auditory journey. All in all, Galaxy Pillow by Able Giant is a killer new Instrumental Rock tune that keeps the listener engaged from beginning to end.

Strongest Point(s): The instrumental work out of each player really shine quite brightly. The guitarists show of plenty of virtuosity and command over both legato and articulated playing. They make full use of all that is available to them, and turn this track into a guitarist's listening paradise.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Instrumental Rock and Progressive Rock will dig Galaxy Pillow by Able Giant.

Artist target suggestions: Alec Berlin, Steely Dan, Intervals, Porcupine Tree, Rush, Animals as Leaders, Explosions in the Sky, Liquid Tension Experiment, Steve Vai, Julian Lage, Tim Sullivan, Joe Satriani, Dream Theater, Phish
