Wes Dean - American Dream
Overall Impression: Singer/songwriter Wes Dean attempts to pull back the curtain on the principal ethos of the United States, with the release of his rock ballad "American Dream." This track features a colossal sound that's provided by powerful drums and a wall of guitars both acoustic and electric, with a sweeping string arrangement that elevates the arrangement to lofty heights, particularly in the exquisite outro section. Dean's rich baritone vocals are sweetened by backing harmonies in the chorus hook as he explores themes of burgeoning frustration and disillusionment, led to believe in a set of ideals that he no longer believes to be completely valid. Desperately compelling lyrics meet melancholic melodies and massive guitars on Wes Dean's "American Dream", making it an easy recommendation for rock fans from all walks of life.
