Aubrie Elise - One Day
Rock, Alternative
Germany

Overall Impression: Walking up with style, Hold On by The Fine Chairs wastes nobody's time and lets the bass and guitar make some groove magic. This new tune from the band's upcoming album relishes in killer rhythms and textures that will leave Alternative Rock fans nodding in approval. It has an attitude that says "To hell with all of this, I'm being my own person." The frustration just radiates from the lyrics, and is given an appropriate and effective vocal delivery by Sebastian Teufel. While the verses do not shy away from this grittiness, the chorus seems to bloom into a more hopeful character. The tune really reaches its peak during the guitar solo, and achieves a floating quality that seems a world away from the edgy introduction. All in all, Hold On is a very solid new Alternative Rock tune by The Fine Chairs with a wide spectrum of character, plenty of Rock grooves, and no shortage of relatability.

Strongest Point(s): Many Rock bands put so much focus on the lyrics and vocals that they ignore the importance of riffs, grooves, and instrumental breaks. Fortunately for listeners, The Fine Chairs is on top of it and throws in plenty of solid musical material as an intro, after the chorus, and during the bridge. It gives listeners a chance to process the lyrics and connect with the song on a deeper level. This shows a care for the songwriting aspect of making new music, and has really paid off in Hold On.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Alternative Rock, Grunge, and Brit Rock from the late 90's will dig Hold On by The Fine Chairs.

Artist target suggestions: Oasis, R.E.M., Sound Garden, Alice In Chains, Liam Gallagher, Blur, The Verve, The Charlatans, Coldplay, Nirvana, Radiohead, Third Eye Blind
