Stacy & Athena - Holiday Lights
Pop, Kids, Family
New York, United States

Overall Impression: Any piece of music aimed at a younger audience needs to be fun, upbeat, and lighthearted in tone, and that's exactly what you get with Stacy & Athena's good-natured tune "Holiday Lights", a terrifically jolly uptempo Christmas pop-rocker that manages to perfectly capture the spirit of the season resoundingly well. Performed to a very high standard and with enough musical diversity to keep younger listeners continually engaged throughout, "Holiday Lights" is a solid piece of children-focused songwriting and I'm sure many will find it to be a thoroughly pleasing experience.

Strongest Point(s): Both well-written and well-phrased, the lyrics have the necessary catchiness required to really pull in and hold a child's attention, which is in no way an easy feat I'm sure many will agree, but Stacy & Athena manage to do this very well indeed. The track adopts an easily accessible sing-along quality that is memorable and easy to digest, and between the jolly character of the bass and its walking lines, animated guitar work, and amiable vocal performances, there's plenty here for kids to really sink their teeth into, ensuring they get well and truly into the festive spirit of things.

Target Audience Appeal: "Holiday Lights" is a charming festive-tinted children's song and I can certainly see many a young ear appreciating it.

Artist target suggestions: Sesame Street, Barney, The Wiggles, Rafi, Cedarmont Kids, Mother Goose Club, Ralph's World, The Kiboomers, The Learning Station, Dora The Explorer, Charlotte Diamond, Barbara Milne, The Laurie Berkner Band, Ralph's Word
