The Gumbys - I Ain't Superman
Rock, 70s Rock, Alt. Rock
North Carolina, United States
Overall Impression: Rock band The Gumbys have released their newest tune I Ain't Superman. Knocking down the door with killer riffs and an Alternative Rock sound, I Ain't Superman brings in the best of Grunge and Rock to make its presence known. It rings with the turbulence of a rough romance that continually re-attracts two less-than-innocent lovers. These two may be meant for each other, but they could also be the other one's total undoing. Either way, the vocals carry the song with a fantastic Alternative Rock approach that cuts through the mix. Although the lyrics claim to not be superman, the guitar solos tear through the sky with pure Rock power. They rip hard and shred with a killer tone and ear-catching agility. With the release of I Ain't Superman, The Gumbys set a high bar for their Rock and give listeners a worthwhile listening experience.
Strongest Point(s): I Ain't Superman is a solid tune all around. The music has a nice blend of Rock elements that keep it interesting throughout. The guitars are absolutely killer, and give the vocals endless positive support. The lyrical content can, of course, be interpreted several different ways and allows for a relatable experience.
Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Rock, Grunge, and Alternative Rock will enjoy I Ain't Superman by The Gumbys.
Artist target suggestions: Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Cheap Trick, The Black Crowes, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Lit, Bush, Foo Fighters, Collective Soul
