Rock, Alt. Rock, Indie Rock

Overall Impression: If there's one thing I can always be certain about, it's that I know I'm always going to be in for a good time when it comes to a Collo tune. A versatile writer and producer, Collo always manages to cook up a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding listening experience that sounds both sonically interesting and musically exciting. This time around Collo has cooked up a big-sounding southern flavored rocker that's rich in riffs and bursting with enough sing-along hooks that will leave audiences reaching for the repeat button repeatedly.

Strongest Point(s): As with any bombastic southern fueled rock track, its the performances that really help to capture the spirit and sense of vigor that the genre is renowned for, and from the attention-grabbing lead vocal performance to the superbly arranged backing that accompanies, there's a deep sense of accomplishment and personality woven into the performances that not only heightens the effectiveness of the writing tenfold, but helps to inject that essential spark of energy needed to really pull listeners in. As with every Collo produced tune, there's always a great amount of detail given to the arrangement, not only ensuring it flows brilliantly, but that its filled with some excellent interplay between its various elements. Examples of this include the way the opening synth melody is brought back in the second half of the verse sections in order to create a stronger feeling of momentum towards the chorus, as well as the clever use of the repeated guitar phrase that's also found in the intro, creating a feeling of cohesion in the writing that nicely tightens up the arrangement and provides the listener with a great deal of memorable hooks to easily connect with.

Target Audience Appeal: This is definitely one for the southern rock lovers and fans of this particular style will certainly have a great time with "Burnt".

Artist target suggestions: The Cadillac Three, The Glorious Sons, Dirty Honey, Brother Cane, The Steel Woods, Blackberry Smoke, Bishop Gunn, A Thousand Horses, The Marcus King Band
