Pop, Alternative, Rock
sooke, Canada

Overall Impression: “Last” is the newest single from Canadian singer songwriter Matt Price, otherwise known by the unique moniker and stage name “Sneaker Street”. Price created the name due to the fact that he literally and figuratively snuck around and tiptoed around others to do whatever he needed possible to pursue his dream of a career in music. Beginning at a young age from recording into a Fisher Price tape recorder, to playing the guitar and piano and honing his skills as a singer in the school choir as a child to a young adult, music is his passion and focus. This gamble has seemed to pay off. With his track “Last”, Sneaker Street has created fresh modern, pop-rock sound with elements of folk that gives the song those singer songwriter vibes and appeals to listeners from pop-rock to folk and certainly has potential to be a hit on indie and mainstream pop-rock radio. With an intense passion for singing and music, this could be the beginning of something beautiful.

Strongest Point(s): Just like his name Sneaker Street's voice is just as unique with a slight rasp, nice tone and vibrato, and he has great control of his voice. There is a calmness, sincerity and sweetness to it and sounds natural and effortless. The melody in turn complements his voice nicely especially within the rhythm of the song and of the chords within the arrangement give the song balance and flow. This formula creates a head bobbing, toe-tapping melody.

Target Audience Appeal: For fans of pop, pop-rock, classic rock, alternative music teen pop and folk.

Artist target suggestions: Mac Powell, Rhett Walker, Patrick Mayberry, Stephen Stanley, Andrew Ripp, Anne Wilson, The Sound, Dan Bremnes, Bruce Springsteen, Joan Jett, Extreme, Goo Goo Dolls, Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, Coldplay, One Republic, Andy Grammer, David Gray, The Script, Jason Mraz, KT Tunstall, Snow Patrol, X Ambassadors, Foster the People and Cage the Elephant.
