Cody Katastrophic - Where My Demons Hide
Alternative/Alt. Rock, Rock, Hard Rock
Montana, United States
Overall Impression: Thunderous guitars, soaring vocals, and a strong sense of creative vision lead the charge in Cody Katastrophic's powerhouse of a track "Where My Demons Hide". An adventurous and thematically intriguing hard rocker that cleverly draws inspiration from a number of genres including goth, alternative, and classic metal styles, "Where my Demons Hide" is chock full of meaty riffs, bold melodic exploration, and a definite sense of ambition that is both inspiring and inventive.
Strongest Point(s): There's something particularly epic about the general sound and scope of "Where My Dreams Hide" that really does draw the listener in. From the atmosphere inducing intro that brilliantly blends ambient sounding arpeggiated guitar with strikingly emotional vocal expressiveness to the towering sound of the overdriven guitar riffs and strong rhythmic drive that underpins the rest of the song, "Where My Dreams Hide" feels bold and isn't afraid to take some rather daring risks throughout its intriguing arrangement. Overall the performances are strong and it's clear a great deal of thought has gone into the track's conceptual themes, and whilst there are some areas that could be improved upon, I believe all the ingredients are certainly here.
Target Audience Appeal: I can certainly see the goth-rock lovers strongly connecting with this track and fans of the style will definitely appreciate the lyrical style of the track.
Artist target suggestions: Ghost, HIM, Opeth, The 69 Eyes, Negative, To/Die/For, Charon, Lacuna Coil, Sentenced, The Rasmus, Lovex, Seether, Icon & The Black Roses, Bloodpit, Reflexion, End Of You, Crossfade, 10 Years
