Sharon West - Angels of the Night
Jazz, New Age, Instrumental
Illinois, United States

Overall Impression: With its beautiful flowing melodies and wonderfully endearing nature, "Angels of the Night" is a splendid blending of both the new-age and neo-classical styles. Sharon West has crafted a deeply engrossing sonic soundscape that makes great use of its atmosphere-inducing textures and highly graceful melodic sensibilities. Any great new-age or classical piece has the power to effortlessly evoke a strong emotional response from its listeners, and "Angel of the Night" does just that with resounding success.

Strongest Point(s): This is an exceptionally performed piece, each element of the track is marvelously executed and the instrumentals many melodies graciously weave between one another with both the utmost delicacy and refinement, allowing for a particularly free-flowing arrangement that is an absolute joy to get swept up by. The instrumentation is well chosen and a great balance has been struck between the majestic quality of the sweeping strings and the beautifully arranged piano part that drives both the harmonic and rhythmic characteristics of the piece forward, ensuring the chemistry between these two major elements of the piece feels both fully realised and more importantly, organic.

Target Audience Appeal: This will certainly appeal to lovers of both the neo-classical and new-age genres.

Artist target suggestions: Diane Arkenstone, Yanni, Deep Forest, Kitaro, Deuter, Philip Wesley, Kevin Braheny, Klause Wiese, Vangelis, Pauline Anna Strom, The Dirac Sea, Philip G Anderson, Francesco Siano
