Overall Impression: Solid performances, creative writing, and a definite sense of style really help to elevate "Mighty Knight Night" to marvelously funky heights, and the song's undeniably strong sense of character really gives listeners plenty to connect with. Die Wohngemeinschaft, comprised of dynamic creative duo Mirjam and Sascha Pedrazzoli, have done a superb job of creating a thoroughly fun and musically exciting listening experience that's filled with an abundance of melodic and rhythmic variety, genre-bending stylistic elements, and a quirky sense of humor that hits the funky spot just right.


Strongest Point(s): Where to begin?! How about the performances, both Mirjam and Sascha are clearly exceptional writers and performers and cleverly draw their inspiration from a wide range of styles, as a result, the music feels both wonderfully alive and spirited, not to mention thoroughly exciting from start to finish. The song's abundant melodic and rhythmic ideas really help solidify the writing effectiveness, ideas bounce off one another with both great proficiency and dynamism and the sheer creativity on show is staggering. I also like the way dynamics are used to great effect in order to prep the listener for certain transitions in the arrangement, for example, the way the drums are used to subtly build up to the chorus from 0:54 is excellent and helps give real weight and impact to the chorus, allowing it to really jump out at the listener. One of the track's greatest attributes is its sense of personality. See many songs can be technically sound, competently written, and solidly performed, but lack that certain ingredient that helps heighten the overall experience. "Mighty Knight Night" is drenched in personality and character, and there's a clear sense of humor that's been woven into the track that gives the songs a marvelously quirky quality. This is a very well put together track and I believe it works very well as it is, the writing, performances, and production are all of a very high standard and I'm excited to hear more from Mirjam and Sascha Pedrazzoli in the very near future. Excellent work!
