The Awesome Crew - Shut Up
Hip Hop/Rap, R&B, Pop
South Carolina, United States

Overall Impression: The Awesome Crew has released their new Hip Hop track Shut Up - Radio Edit. Coming in hard with a heavy beat, Shut Up - Radio Edit features an old school Hip Hop sound that instantly throws listeners back. Scratches and heavy bass accent the hook as the quick groove hits the off beats. A rap battle, Shut Up - Radio Edit pins Smooth D, Daddy D, and Classy D against each other. All three rappers bring a swing and attitude to their verse. Smooth D hypes up his crew and tells off all of the haters. Daddy D rips through his verse like an animal with quick rhymes and a hellish demeanor. Classy D brings a wisdom and mature confidence to his lyrics and rhythm. All three deliver something new to the track and keep it flowing. Overall, Shut Up - Radio Edit by The Awesome Crew throws back to the old days of Hip Hop that never seem to go out of style.

Strongest Point(s): The old school beat and style of rapping is everything with this track. It has the soul and feel of original Hip Hop. Nicely done!

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Old School Hip Hop & Rap will dig Shut Up - Radio Edit by The Awesome Crew.

Artist target suggestions: Run D.M.C., LL Cool J, The Sugarhill Gang, Nas, N.W.A., Public Enemy, Afrika Bambaataa, Grand Master Flash & The Furious Five, Eminem, Method Man
