Zap & The Wires - Got To Be Willing
Rock, Pop, Reggae
New Jersey, United States

Overall Impression: With its catchy hooks galore, an abundance of body-swaying grooves, and a marvelous sense of melody, "Got To Be Willing" is a fantastic slice of style drenched reggae-rock that showcases both a great amount of flair and songwriting maturity. Zap & The Wires have done a sterling job of capturing the spirit of classic reggae whilst equally managing to inject some generous sprinkles of contemporary rock and pop stylings into the mix for good measure, the result is an undeniably engaging and highly listenable piece of flair infused modern reggae that is well written, arranged, and performed, and I'm sure a broad range of music lovers will enjoy what it has to offer.

Strongest Point(s): The chosen instrumentation is excellent, it's this certain attention to detail that ensures the listeners are presented with a genuinely authentic reggae experience, from the wah-infused guitar to the undeniably expressive nature of the Hammond organ and the quintessential reggae-infused rhythms to the stylistic brass flourishes, the spirit of the genre is captured brilliantly from start to finish. The lyrics are certainly engaging and have that certain reggae sense of down-to-earthiness mixed with a relatable philosophical outlook, and the way the lyrics have been arranged helps them to effectively lock in tight with the track's rhythmic drive. The overall recording and general mix are solid, every element of the track is clearly captured and presented, ensuring the song boasts both great sonic clarity and detail, and whilst there are a few areas that could possibly be refined a little, the overall sound of the track is undoubtedly full of character.

Target Audience Appeal: This is definitely a tune for the reggae-rock lovers out there.
