Gary Hall - Home Again
Rock, Folk, Americana
Colorado, United States

Overall Impression: Seasoned songwriter Gary Hall delivers a wistful folk ballad, with the gorgeous "Home Again." This tune features a lovely female vocal and a graceful acoustic guitar arrangement, as it explores the stark contrast between rural and urban living. "Home Again" finds our narrator pining for a peaceful return to nature, wishing to leave the chaos of city life behind them. Highlighted by rustic, unpretentious prose and some fine musicianship, Gary Hall's "Home Again" should resonate deeply with folk audiences, especially those who also yearn to abandon the hustle and bustle of the metropolitan lifestyle, seeking a more pastoral lifestyle.

Strongest Point(s): Excellent production, solid mix. Great sounding room. Guitars sound fantastic, lead sounds clear and bright with just the right touch of reverb. The finger picked and strummed rhythm guitars both sit well in the mix. Wonderful vocal performance, good clarity and annunciation. Very classic folk voice, instantly recalls the legendary folk revivalists of the 1960s. Outstanding lyrical content; you really captured the feeling of longing and utilize some vivid imagery and nice turns of phrase, while adhering to a traditional folk structure and cadence. Exceptional track, and a fine example of song craft.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Folk, Contemporary Folk, Folk Revival, Singer/Songwriter, Americana
