Christalx - Games of Chance
Hip Hop/Rap, Dance/Electronica, TechnoPop
Florida, United States
Overall Impression: With its old-school feel, pumping rhythms, and hard-hitting synth, "Games of Chance" is an energy-raising slice of techno fuelled electronica that is sure to get the heart racing and body moving. Christalx has whisked up a particularly retro-sounding dance number that fuses a keen eye for melody with a clear love for the genre.
Strongest Point(s): There's a brilliant selection of sounds on display, from the quirkier synth lead sounds to the more conventional arpeggiated sequences, there's a great amount of variety amongst the chosen sound palette that helps to continually present fresh-sounding melodic motifs and sonic variation throughout. There's a definite focus on energy in "Games of Chance" and it certainly helps keep listeners firmly on their toes, and whilst a bit more variation in this area could possibly improve certain aspects of the track, the sheer full-throttle nature of the track would most likely go down a treat in a live setting.
Target Audience Appeal: Lovers of techno will certainly feel at home with "Games Of Chance".
Artist target suggestions: Set Up System, Nebula II, Joey Beltram, Extrawelt, Einmusik, The Orb, Fluke, LFO, LCD Soundsytem
