So Dirty the Flamingos - Good to Go
Alternative/Alt.Rock, Americana, Singer/Songwriter
Toronto, Canada

Overall Impression: Having had the good fortune of reviewing a previous track by these blues-rock extraordinaires, I had a pretty clear idea of the type of listening experience I was in for when heading into "Good To Go", brilliant performances, inspired songwriting, and a good chunk of flair thrown in for good measure, and I can thankfully say that this is exactly what I got. So Dirty the Flamingos have rustled up a fantastic classic blues rocker that is steeped in both an undeniable sense of cool and a resounding amount of style. With its solid arrangement and excellent diversity in instrumentation, "Good To Go" is a wholly engaging, and strikingly sophisticated, blues-soaked rock foray that lovers of the genre will surely appreciate.

Strongest Point(s): As to be expected with a So Dirty the Flamingos tune, the performances are exceptional, from the soaring vocal performances to the blistering lead guitar work, the fantastic raspiness of the brass to the highly expressive nature of the Hammond organ that captures that classic blues sound so brilliantly, every element is working in perfect tandem with one another to help craft a wonderfully detailed wall of sound that's filled with contrasting timbres and an abundance of diverse tonal color. As with any great Blues piece, the lyrics have a humanity to them that audiences can easily connect with, blues is always grounded in a stark sense of reality and there's a realness to these lyrics that reflects the genre very well indeed.

Target Audience Appeal: Lovers of classic blues rock will definitely dig what "Good To Go" has to offer.

Artist target suggestions: Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Cocker, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, The Black Keys, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Savoy Brown
