BC el Club - Swing Ma'chevere
Latin, Salsa, Reggaeton
California, United States

Overall Impression: "Swing Ma'chevere" is an exciting new release from BC el Club, the brainchild of Los Angeles based singer/songwriter/producer Bobby Cuban. Fiery Afro-Cuban polyrhythms are at the core of this track that recalls the great mambo kings of the past, while still being firmly rooted in modern production techniques. A top shelf rhythm section consisting of bass, percussion, and piano provides a deep pocket for Bobby Cuba's excellent chant-like vocals and spectacular falling horn riffs, as well as giving the listener little choice but to get up and move to the groove. Latin jazz fans, particularly those interested in Cuban music, should definitely check out BC el Club's "Swing Ma'chevere", available on all major streaming platforms.

Strongest Point(s): Excellent production, great mix. This track is overflowing with "cool." Fantastic intro with just the bass, woodblock, and vocal shouts. It gives the horns a lot of impact when they come in. Absolutely love that horn riff, by the way. Vocal production and arranging is outstanding, excellent layering and doubling. Lead sounds really good, nice performance as well. Background voices sound amazing, the reverb/delay creates a nice space. Entire rhythm section is locked in and sounds great, nice bass heavy mix there gives it a more contemporary sound. Stellar track overall, phenomenal job on this one.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Latin, Latin Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Rumba, Salsa, Mambo

Artist target suggestions: Bueno Vista Social Club, Los Van Van, Arturo Sandoval, Compay Segundo, Tito Puente, Afro-Cuban All Stars, Cafe Havana, Orquesta Sublime, Orishas, Irakere
