7t2names - Lost & Found
Pop, Dance/Electronica, Electro Pop
London, United Kingdom
Overall Impression: With its brilliantly retro-inspired synth sounds and marvelous sense of atmosphere, "Lost & Found" is a solid slice of electronica that is both ultra-melodic and lyrically captivating. 7t2names combines driving rhythms, lush ambient filled pads, and a keen eye for detail, all nicely wrapped up in a solid production that boasts excellent clarity and detail.
Strongest Point(s): The track has a great feeling of forwarding motion to it, helped in part by the driving synth of course, but a lot of this is also down to the way the song has been carefully arranged. Beginning with a sparser texture and minimal instrumentation, the choice to have the opening take its time in establishing the general flavor and personality of the track is a smart one, and the way the tracks various elements are subtly layered as it goes on helps give the song, and its overall texture for that matter, an organic and free-flowing feel. Lyrically, there are clearly some deep and poignant themes being explored and it makes for a continually intriguing listening experience, they conjure up some fantastically vivid imagery and have a certain reflective quality to them that feels both relatable and profoundly emotive. The overall production and general mix are very strong, as aforementioned, the track possesses both great clarity and detail and 7t2names has done a very fine job of balancing all of the tracks various elements, ensuring every one of them is presented in an as clear and effective way possible, culminating in dance track that possesses great sonic sheen.
Target Audience Appeal: Lovers of dance/electronica will surely find a lot to like about "Lost & Found".
