Urban Addicts - Gotta Go
Alternative/Alt. Rock, Rock
Canberra, Australia

Overall Impression: "Gotta Go" is an energetic new release from the Australian rock quartet Urban Addicts. Muscular guitar riffs, melodic bass lines, and propulsive drumming perfectly complement impassioned rock vocals on this track, giving it a great post punk, power pop "whole band" sound. Featuring a dynamic arrangement with an excellent hook in the chorus that's reinforced by vocal harmonies and bright synth tones, Urban Addicts' "Gotta Go" should have very little trouble finding an audience among rock fans of all ages and backgrounds, thanks to its high energy level and classic rock swagger.

Strongest Point(s): Solid production, decent mix. Excellent variation in the arrangement, great contrast between the verses and chorus sections. Fantastic job of capturing the energy of a live performance in the studio, always one of the most difficult tasks when producing a rock band. Vocals sound great, plenty of style and attitude. Great rock lyrics. Strong musicianship. Rhythm section is tight, while still maintaining a loose feel to the groove. Nice gritty guitar tones, and the synth gives the song a nice little lift in the chorus sections. Overall, an excellent rock track and a great job by everyone involved.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Rock, Alt Rock, Indie Rock, Classic Rock, Pop Rock, Post Punk, Power Pop
