Peaceful Cacophony - Spare Me
Alternative/Alt. Rock, Alt. Pop
Norwich, United Kingdom
Overall Impression: Wonderfully performed and brilliantly written, "Spare Me" is a brilliantly raucous alternative rocker from Peaceful Cacophony that manages to encapsulate the quintessential traits of the genre whilst managing to inject their own unique stylistic trimmings into the mix, creating a deeply melodic and texturally rich track that boasts tremendous character and heaps of flair.
Strongest Point(s): The arrangement is excellent, and a great amount of contrast has been achieved between the tracks various sections, the ambient clean guitar and its subtle use of delay in the verse sections contrasts brilliantly with the harder-edged distortion drenched chorus that follows, this push-pull dynamic between soft and hard works extremely well and gives the track a great sense of dynamism. This is an extremely well-performed song and it's clear that everyone is working in perfect harmony with one another to deliver an authentic and organic performance that elevates the already strong songwriting to even greater levels, from the highly expressive lead vocals and their unique tonal qualities to the incredible music backing that accompanies, it's evident that Peaceful Cacophony is working in perfect synergy, resulting in both a lyrical poignant and striking piece of songwriting that flows exceptionally well.
Target Audience Appeal: This is a shining example of great alternative rock and fans of the genre will surely have a great time with "Spare Me".
