No More Wasted Time - Tie Me Down
Rock
Arizona, United States

Overall Impression: Having had the good fortune of reviewing a previous track by classic rockers, No More Wasted Time, I had a solid idea of the type of listening experience I was in for when heading into "Tie Me Down". Great performances, check, solid songwriting, check, and heaps of style, a resounding check! Once again No More Wasted Time serves up another classic slice of melodically infused classic rock that oozes great flair and feel.

Strongest Point(s): As you would expect from a No More Wasted Time tune, the performances are excellent and show a great amount of musicianship, and most importantly, a sense of clear camaraderie between all band members, the result is a groove-laden song that feels well-realized and resoundingly accomplished. From the incredibly strong rhythm section that acts as the backbone of the song to the soaring lead vocals and commanding presence of the lead guitar, all elements are working in perfect tandem, culminating in a wholly engaging performance that contains both power and dynamism. "Tie Me Down" is a far more restrained offering when compared to the previous more bombastic "Miss Misery" that I previously reviewed, and it makes for a fantastic contrast, the slower pace combined with the more ambient feel of the track shows that the band has many layers to its songwriting approach and isn't afraid to mix things up. The way the track handles tension and release is masterful and works well in keeping the arrangement feeling fresh from start to finish. I also want to note the sudden pick-up in pace towards the end, this works extremely well and is both an interesting and unexpected twist that sees out the track brilliantly.

Target Audience Appeal Fans of classic rock will have a lot to love about "Tie Me Down", it has that certain "sound" which just feels strikingly timeless.

Artist target suggestions: Thunder, Black Stone Cherry, Aerosmith, Whitesnake, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Scorpions, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Krokus, Great White, Winger, Thin Lizzy, Blue Oyster Cult, Saxon
